Appeals – Federal and State

We have an active and varied appellate practice. In addition to handling appeals in cases in which we acted as trial counsel, we are often called upon by other attorneys to handle appeals for their clients. This has proven to give us an active and varied appellate advocacy practice.

Our attorneys represent clients in appeals at all levels, including before the Oklahoma Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and the United States Supremem Court. We pride ourselves on our ability to create compelling legal arguments both in the briefs we file, and on oral argument. At LL&D, we believe appellate work must represent the highest level of legal writing and we take pride in putting the firm’s name on briefs submitted to these courts.

Our appellate practice includes advocacy of all types of complex legal issues. We have extensive appellate experience in Constitutional law, employment law, federal and state regulatory issues, libel and slander, as well as more routine legal issues. Our appellate clients include individuals, businesses, and governmental entities.
