A former law partner of Governor Brad Henry, Matt Hopkins has extensive governmental experience both in the Office of the Oklahoma Attorney General, and as a legislative lobbyist.
Since its inception, the firm has represented numerous cities and towns, counties, trust authorities, state agencies, the Oklahoma Legislature, and public employees. Our attorneys have worked with both small towns and large municipalities in all of the following areas: annexation, by-law enforcement, civil rights or other areas of state or federal employment laws, code enforcement, condemnation/eminent domain proceedings, land use/zoning, municipal liability claims and litigation, compliance with the Open Meetings Act and Open Records Act, ordinance codification, government purchasing, and contracts.
Our attorneys also regularly represent businesses and individuals with respect to government law issues, including filing or defending First Amendment or other Constitutional law cases, and handling matters before the Oklahoma Ethics Commission, the Merit Protection Commission, and various state licensing or regulatory boards and other State agencies.
