Eggnog and Other Musings On Litigation

So, here’s the story. Sometimes I promise myself the rose-colored glasses will not come off, no matter what. Today is one of those days. I got a gift from one of my colleagues. It is a pretty little book on effective legal writing. What a terrific gift. Something to help me in my business.

It got me to thinking. At this time of year, folks are in the mood to wish each other glad tidings and good cheer. It got me to thinking what glad tidings our clients would really wish to receive.

So, to our clients on this holiday season I wish for security, safety, joy, well defined business plans, healthy, productive employees who really love what they do, synergy, energy, peace in all business dealings, the ability to really listen to one another, the desire to act passionately and positively, to work cooperatively to achieve common goals, and strength and wisdom to cope with any business or employment crisis.

Oh, and by the way, please note that in Oklahoma an employer with fewer than 15 employees can now be sued for sexual harassment. This is new. So, while you are sipping your eggnog, please take a look at your employee manual and update it if need be.

Just what you wanted to do during the holidays, I know. Eggnog looks a bit funny through rose-colored glasses.
