Our program this week is our annual Christmas Party, which starts at 11:30. Several of our fellow Edmond Rotarians will perform for us. If you have never been to one of these events, this will be a great time to come. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow for an enjoyable time of fellowship.

     Although this program differs from our norm, it is in keeping with the mission of Rotary. According to its website, “[t]he mission of Rotary International, a worldwide association of Rotary clubs, is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards, and to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.” The Rotary motto – Service Above Self – reflects this mission as well as the spirit of the more than 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide.

     So, let’s enjoy a nice time of holiday fellowship, while remembering that we are a part of a great organization that does so much for so many, both here in our community and all across the globe.
