Tamie Babb, our District Governor, is a physician, and is married to a physician, Mike Babb. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Cushing, and has served as President of the Cushing club and as Assistant District Governor of our District.

Being a District Governor is no small task. It requires an enormous devotion of time and energy. According to Article 15.070 of the Bylaws of Rotary International, to qualify to serve as a District Governor, a person must be a fully qualified Rotarian in good standing for at least seven years, have served a full year as President of a Rotary Club, have attended the international assembly “for its full duration,” and be capable of fulfilling the duties of a District Governor.

To give you an idea of how much time the job takes, our District Governor will visit each of the 39 clubs in our district at least once during her year in office. That means trips not only to Edmond and Oklahoma City (almost half of the District 5750 clubs are in the metropolitan area), but also to Gage, Woodward, Alva, Clinton, Weatherford, Enid, Perry and Pawhuska, to name a few.

District Governor Tamie Babb has several goals for her year of service. To read them in her own words, please click on the words, DG’s Goals.

Please welcome to the Rotary Club of Edmond our District Governor, Tamie Babb.
