In the Oklahoma City Metro, more than 5,000 children are currently in foster care. To raise funds to support Oklahoma City metropolitan foster children Bids For Kids: An Event to Benefit Foster Children, hosted by Citizens Caring for Children, is being held April 17, 2010, at the Will Rogers Theatre in Oklahoma City. The event will include a live and silent auction, dinner, drinks and live entertainment provided by Brantley Cowan.
Citizens Caring for Children provides services for more than 3,500 Oklahoma Foster Children Annually. Through programs including Shelter Birthday Parties, Back to School, the Resource Center, Santa Stop and Mentoring, Citizens Caring for Children breaks the cycle of abuse and neglect in Oklahoma foster children. Proceeds from Bids For Kids 2010 will benefit the growing number of children in foster care.
Come and enjoy dinner, drinks and live music by Brantley Cowan. Bid on exciting live and silent auction items including jewelry, sports memorabilia, a botox party and a trip of a lifetime to Paciano, Italy. The event kicks off with cocktails at 6:30pm followed by dinner and the live and silent auctions.
