Sherman spent four years in the energy industry, first with Gulf Oil Corporation and later with O.I.L. Energy Corporation. Sherman was also involved in the nursing home business, where he co-owned a nursing home in Sentinel, Oklahoma.
In 1986, Sherman went into private legal practice. For twenty-three years, Sherman practiced largely as a solo practitioner before joining LL&D in 2009. Although his practice tended to emphasize family law and personal injury litigation, Sherman’s practice also included juvenile, probate, adoption, bankruptcy, business law, employment law, insurance and trust litigation and general civil litigation.
From 2004 to 2008, Sherman was the Chief Executive Officer of Western Oklahoma Cafes companies, which own the popular Alfredo’s Mexican Cafes. Sherman was able to accomplish this successful foray into the restaurant business while maintaining his law practice.
Sherman is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Oklahoma County Bar Association. Sherman is also certified as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Abused and Neglected Children in Oklahoma County. At LL&D, Sherman intends to practice primarily in the areas of adoptions and personal injury litigation.
